Compress images and check the real savings
File size depends on the source image, dimensions, format and chosen quality.
Quality is a tradeoff
Lower JPG or WebP quality can reduce file size but can soften text, edges and fine detail. The slider is an encoder quality setting, not a target file size. Start around 80 and inspect the result.
Smaller is not guaranteed
Re-encoding an already optimized image can make it larger. A different format can also increase size. Each output shows original bytes, output bytes and the actual percentage change.
Keep your original
The tool creates new files and does not modify your originals. Keep your source files so you can try another setting without repeatedly compressing a compressed result.
